What the problem was:
We work regularly for a fire and flood restoration specialist that cover the North West. They asked us to attend a customer’s site in the Northwich area, the home owner has backed her car into the front wall of her home, and this had caused damaged the radiator on the damaged wall. They had to turn the water supply off as water was pouring out of the pipework. The company asked us to repair the damage to the radiator, and to check the heating system before putting it back on.
What we did:
The engineer attended site the same day, as the customer had no water. He arrived within the agreed scheduled time, and began to repair the damage caused. The system was drained down and the radiator and pipework were repaired and the system refilled.
Whilst completing this repair a blockage was discovered on the cold feed on the heating system. This wasn’t caused by the damage, but it was discovered because of the accident. To rectify the problem, we had to collect an expansion vessel and sealed system kit, and install them to get round the problem. The problem was rectified, and the water and heating were checked to assure they were working correctly.
The engineer is highly experienced, and due to this, was able to solve the unusual problem he was faced with on the central heating system. We kept our customer informed of the progress and costs, as well as the home owners, and provided everyone with a comprehensive breakdown of the work we carried out on completion.
We use YourRepair because there is never any hassle, all relevant information and documentation is always provided, they always attend site quickly, and have never let us down.
What the problem was:
The customer called to arrange a visit from a local plumber in Northwich, as she had water leaking between the cistern and bowl of her toilet. She explained the leak as slow but constant.
What we provided:
Our customer booked the job with one of the YourRepair trained call advisers, and they confirmed the booking via email, and sent the job to a local YourRepair plumber working in Northwich. Upon arrival the engineer put on his carpet protectors and went into the bathroom to diagnose the problem. The fault was damaged rubber washers that held the tank to the bowl. The plumber sourced replacement washers from his highly stocked van, and proceeded to fix the leak. The toilet was checked for any further leaks before the engineer left, ensuring that the area he was working in was left clean and tidy. The customer received a detailed invoice via email explaining the work that was carried out, and the 12 month guarantee that we offer our customers for the work we carry out.
The job was completed within the hour, as with over 95% of plumbing related enquiries of this kind. The YourRepair Plumbers aim to be as helpful to our customers as possible, and try to give advice on plumbing issues around their homes, to prevent our customers having problems in the future.
Whilst investigating the leak the plumber noticed that the stop tap had been boxed in without access, and that there was no isolation valve fitted to the toilet which could create problems in the future. Although we were able to fix the problem without access on this occasion, the plumber suggested the customer re-gain access to the stop tap, in-case the customer experiences any further leaks at her property.
Have no issues in using YourRepair Plumbers in the future, they turned up promptly and fixed my toilet, they also gave me some very useful advice, which I wouldn’t of even thought of otherwise.
