What the problem was:This client had a small water leak, which he described at a constant drip, at his home, from the pipe on his bedroom radiator. Customer had placed a bowl underneath to catch the water to protect the carpet from being damaged.
What we did:
We despatched one of our highly skilled and experienced plumbers to complete the repair at clients home in Knutsford. We arrived within the allocated arrival time, which had been confirmed on the phone and also on email. The leak was traced to the radiator valve, not the pipe as suspected. The central heating was then drained down, and a re placement valve was fitted from the plumber’s extensive van stock. The radiator was then bled before checking to ensure the repair was successful.
The leak was repaired without any damages to the carpet or floor boards. The engineer respected the client’s home by leaving no mess and doing the job quickly and efficiently.

What the problem was:Customer wanted her shower tray replacing, as her current one has cracked. She wants us to supply and fit. This customer is very security conscious, as she is a registered child minder, and will have small children that she is minding at the property.
What we provided:
Our trained call advisor reassured our new customer that all our engineers are CRB / DBS checked, and that they could provide ID on arrival, before they were able to book the repair for a convenient date and time to suit the customer. Upon arrival at the customer’s home in Knutsford, the engineer provided the customer with the relevant Identification, and he went to complete the replacement promptly, as to not tie up the customers time, as she was busy with the children.
Firstly the engineer removed the existing broken shower tray, and the existing waste. We had to remove a small amount of tiles from the bottom of the shower, which the customers understood could not be avoided, and as the tiles were white and of standard size, it would cause the customer minimum fuss and expense to replace.
The new waste was installed with washers fitted on both sides of the waste opening, to ensure a complete water tight seal. The shower tray was then installed to the highest standards, and left to dry.
The same engineer returned the following day and connected the shower trap to the waste outlet, and the waste outlet pipe. We checked thoroughly for leaks to ensure installation of the new shower tray had been a success. We then sealed around the edge of the shower tray.
Our engineer completed the work efficiently and to the highest standard. What was most important to this client was the minimal disruption caused by our engineer, as she works from home, and has small children in the house. She was kept informed of the progress of the work, as two visits were required due to the nature of the job.
